Senior Analyst
I applied online and then had a phone chat with the recruiting manager. After that, there were several phone interviews with the team, followed by some in-person interviews. Then there were even more interviews after that. Recruiting does a good job if you're a good fit for the role.
- Can you describe your approach to analysis?
- What are your views on how to gather requirements?
Analyst
Get ready to meet like 14 people. You'll probably be there for 5 hours straight, no food really, just chips. It's not the best time. They have you talk to like one or two people from each team, I'm not sure why. You also gotta do an excel test and send in a writing sample.
- Can you share your perspective on the stock market's performance for the upcoming year?
Analyst
First up was a phone interview with HR, which was really pleasant. After that, I had a virtual interview with a panel made up of directors and analysts. It wasn't too tough, felt a bit bland and they seemed uninterested a lot of the time. In between the interviews, there was an Excel test and a writing test. The writing test was fine, but the Excel test was kinda dumb, although I guess that's how they check actual skills. You know how there are many ways to do stuff in Excel, but they want it done one specific way, and it'll mark you wrong for minor things like clicking the wrong spot.
- Can you explain what the "Fed" is and its function?
- Do you keep up with market trends?
