First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Insight.
AI Apprentice
Had a bunch of interviews, but sadly didn't get the job. It was mostly behavioral questions about the role and my experience, plus things like competitive programming, dealing with other strong candidates, proving I'm a good fit, and if I can go the extra mile.
- Tell me about your experience relevant to this role.
- What are your thoughts on competitive programming?
- How would you approach situations with other strong candidates?
Generative AI Intern
It was a pretty simple and straightforward process. First, I had a screening with the HR manager where we talked about why I was interested in Insight, my skills, and my past experiences. Then, I interviewed with the team manager, which was mainly behavioral STAR questions about my experiences. The last interview was with the team I would be working with, discussing my experiences and the technologies I've used.
- Could you walk me through this project and explain your approach?
Project Manager
My experience was pretty similar to others', communication started out okay but then really went downhill. I had multiple rounds with different managers, and they all gave me conflicting info about timelines and how many jobs were actually open. There were a few recruiters involved, the main one was nice but super unresponsive. About a week after they asked for my availability for interviews in two weeks, I just got a generic rejection email. It was all super disorganized and confusing.
- Can you tell me about your project management experience?
Cloud Engineer
The interview process was kinda moderate, and having certifications like AZ-104 and networking knowledge is pretty essential. They have a structured process where you'll go through two technical rounds to check your skills, and then one HR round to see how you communicate, your personality, and if you're a good cultural fit.
- Can you tell me about Azure core services?
- What are Azure storage accounts?
- Explain Azure networking concepts.
