So I had this terrible interview experience. Right at the start, I told them I wanted 26 LPA since my current fixed is 18 LPA, and they agreed. Then they rushed things, saying they needed to fill the role fast. They made me come in person and squeezed all the interview rounds into a single day, even though I had to travel 25 km. The interviews went okay, and I even passed the UCAT test they gave me. I thought things were looking good, and I was waiting for HR. But then, after a week, they suddenly said I needed another technical round. I did that too, but they just asked random puzzles that had nothing to do with my AI background. Then they told me I was selected but downgraded the role from SE2 to SE, and the offer was 21 fixed + 4 variable. When I asked why, they just said I was lucky to get selected at all, as they normally have 3 rounds. I'd already done a coding test, an in-person AI discussion, and another technical round. It feels like a total waste of my time and energy.

Initially it was told there will be 3 technical rounds of discussion and final round will be Ucat aptitude test. It was told that if UCat exam is cleared the offer will be released. Even after completing 3 rounds of technical discussion and UCAT test I didn't get any proper response. After multiple followups from my end, Another round of discussion conducted. And the discussion went really good. But still no updates on releasing offer letter. After multiple calls and messages I got an update that the position is closed in Bangalore and they are looking for candidates in Other location due to Organization restructure. It almost took 4 months to complete all these 5 rounds of discussion with no positive results even after getting good feedback post interview.

The second interview was with the hiring manager. She asked 3 questions that the recruiter already asked in the first interview. When I asked my questions at the end, she didn't give concrete answers. The hiring manager also asked a terrible question: 'Where do you see yourself in 5 years?'. After the interview, the recruiter was supposed to give me an update but never got back to me, even after I emailed her. I was completely ghosted. I'd suggest training the hiring manager on how to interview, coordinate questions, and improve the candidate experience because ghosting is not okay.

The interview process for the UX Designer II role at Infoblox was well-organized and transparent. It started with an initial HR screening, followed by a technical design assessment and multiple rounds with the design and product teams. The questions focused on problem-solving, design thinking, and collaboration. The interviewers were professional and approachable, making it a comfortable experience. Communication was clear throughout, and I received timely updates at every stage.
