I went through 3 interviews for this role. The first two were positive, focusing on how they could make the role appealing to me given my experience, as they were targeting new grads. They asked about my past experiences and their relevance to the job. The third interviewer seemed unsure about the position he was interviewing for. Towards the end, he concluded by saying I lacked knowledge in a certain area, but I corrected him twice, explaining my testing capabilities and providing a relevant test strategy example. It felt like he wasn't listening to me at all. It seemed like they had already decided on a candidate and were just looking for reasons not to hire me. He didn't allow me time for questions and didn't offer any follow-up.

Got a referral before applying. First, there was a phone screen setup, then the actual phone screen. After that, the hiring manager called. Then, I had a virtual half-day interview which included a technical talk with a presentation. Also had virtual one-on-one or group meetings to discuss technical aspects based on each team member's interest.

So, after a quick call with the recruiter, I had a short HR interview with the recruiting officer and a team lead. It was pretty standard for a first interview. Then, I got a positive response, and they invited me to the office for another interview. We started with a tour, and the interview focused on my work style, past project experience, and some technical knowledge. They also asked for two recommendation letters. No coding test, thankfully. After that, it was radio silence for about 4 months while they apparently waited for approvals to send an offer. Still no word.

The hiring process was quite drawn out, taking over two months and involving a lot of back and forth via email and phone calls. Most of the interviews were straightforward, though one stood out. The people I interacted with were generally pleasant. In the end, they mentioned I was a great fit but wanted to explore other candidates before deciding. I never got a formal response, but I later noticed they had hired someone else, making it seem like I was still under consideration when I wasn't.
