First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at INEOS.
Graduate Trainee
The process was straightforward and efficient. It had two main stages: a preliminary phone screening with HR to check my background and language skills, and then a formal interview with the HR Manager. We talked about my past experience and my Master's studies. Feedback was quick, and onboarding was smooth.
- What attracts you to a fast-paced industrial multinational like INEOS, and how do you foresee managing your Master's studies alongside this position?
SAP Supply Chain Analyst
Overall, it seemed to go well. Panel interview with three people from the Belgium office. Questions asked and answered about SAP and myself. We were getting near the end of the discussion and one of the interviewers made a comment that was "I'm concerned about your longevity". I paused for a minute due to the comment. I replied I was in it for as long as possible. The comment couldn't be about job hopping, my last three positions were 5, 8, and 9 years long. He must have been referring to my age. That is age discrimination. The interview ended and I thanked them for taking the time to chat with me. This was all handled through a 3rd party recruiter. They came to me. After a few follow-ups and waiting for at least four weeks, nothing. Ghosted..... Not a company I'm recommending to anyone.
- Can you tell me about your experience with SAP ABAP coding?
Business Development Manager
The recruitment process for the graduate programme at INEOS was a comprehensive and rigorous journey, designed to ensure the selection of the most qualified and suitable candidate. It spanned several weeks and involved multiple stages, each aiming to evaluate different aspects of the candidates' abilities and fit for the role. From phone interviews to written exams and 2 assessment centers it's as if we start working at INEOS before we sign the contract. It really did ensure that we were well-aligned for a long-term fit.
- What strategic issues do you foresee the company facing over the next five years?
Mechanical Engineer
So after applying, they'll shortlist you and it'll take about a month. The interview process has three stages. First, there's a group interview where you and other candidates work on a task and then get asked some questions. After that, you might get called in for an individual HR or technical interview. You'll actually do both. The HR interview is pretty straightforward, but the technical one will cover things like machine operations, troubleshooting pumps, gears, motors, process vessels, and your structural knowledge.
- Could you describe the operations of machines and how to troubleshoot them, including specific knowledge about pumps, gears, motors, process vessels, and structural aspects?
