The interview process has four aptitude rounds that cover things like time and work, percentage analysis, verbal ability, and speed and distance. Then there are two technical rounds where they ask about power system basics, machines, and switchgear and protection. Lastly, there's an HR round with a behavioral test and a discussion about you.

Had a phone call for up to 15 mins. Then a video call for up to 40 mins via zoom. There was an aptitude test on arithmetic and reasoning, and a communication test on paper with about 30 questions. Then an HR interview for basic questions and another HR interview to test communication skills.

The Principal kicked off the interview, which was the first in-person one post-Covid. We had a brief chat about my background and the kind of projects the IMEG LA office handles. Then, I had a short 20-minute assessment on mechanics and structural engineering fundamentals. If you've got 2-3 years of experience in SoCal, you should find it manageable. After that, two senior engineers joined for a more casual conversation. They asked about me and my work history, and I got to ask them about their experiences at IMEG. Finally, the Principal gave me an office tour and introduced me to everyone. They got back to me with an offer about a week later.

The whole hiring process took about 2-3 weeks, starting from the first HR call all the way to the offer. Since I had other offers pending, they sped things up. The initial HR screening was pretty standard. The HR person wasn't super friendly, just got right down to business. The next week, I had an in-person interview with an executive and an associate. This one was more in-depth, covering both technical and behavioral aspects and lasted over an hour. I got the offer the week after.
