I had a really bad interview experience with Idemia Canada in June 2024. They made me do a whole end-to-end project, both backend and frontend, plus a detailed report on how to use the code. I submitted it all and then heard nothing. When I followed up, they said they'd hired someone else. Turns out, the person they hired did the same project and was also rejected, even though they were told the position was filled. It felt like they were just getting free work from us, like a scam. Total waste of time. Be careful if you interview with them.

The interview process was straightforward with one virtual interview and one on-site interview. Both interviews went very well. I was given a verbal offer after meeting the team. The facility looked great and the managers seemed like good people. However, the verbal offer turned out to be misleading. In my previous roles, I always received a job offer within a few days. This time, I didn't hear back from my recruiter until three business days after my on-site interview. When they finally contacted me, there was no offer and no clear plan for what to expect next. This was disappointing as I initially believed the company had integrity, but I was mistaken.

I went through two rounds of interviews and was selected. The HR asked for my personal documents and we discussed salary. This whole process took 1.5 months, even though I was told it was an immediate joining role. After all this, the HR stopped responding to my calls and messages. Eventually, I was informed that due to internal discussions, I wouldn't be hired. I never expected this from such a well-known MNC. I hope the company realizes that such unprofessional HR or team actions damage their public image. I always advise people to keep job hunting even after clearing interviews, as these companies can back out anytime.

The interview process was really simple. There were procedures to follow, and it was conducted in only two meetings. First, there is the initial interview by HR to understand your background and build your profile. Second, there is the technical interview, technical exam, and final interview in the second meeting. The technical interview contains behavioral and situational questions related to the job. For the technical exam, you will be given an actual work task to demonstrate your output. Lastly, the final interview is conducted by the manager to assess your suitability with the company culture.
