Technical Support Engineer
A recruiter reached out, but our first online meeting didn't happen. Then, I had an on-site interview with the hiring manager and a team member. After that, I had a remote interview with the Director in France. My third on-site interview was with the Country Manager, and they asked about other job pursuits. I was actually in a third-round interview with another company at that time. In the end, HERE offered me the job first, and I accepted. The whole thing took just over a month from the recruiter's first contact to the offer.

Experience was professionally unprofessional after selection - offer got revoked after confirmation. Pros: The technical interviewers knew their stuff and asked relevant DSA and Kafka questions. The rounds were structured and on time. Cons: After I passed all the interview rounds and got a confirmation email, they told me to wait for the final offer letter. The HR team kept telling me my selection was confirmed, discussed benefits and joining date, and even asked me to delay my joining with another company. But despite all assurances, the offer was suddenly revoked just a couple of days before joining, due to 'approval issues.' They even asked to see my other company’s offer letter, which felt really unprofessional and not needed. This whole thing caused financial and emotional stress, as I had already served my notice period and was counting on their confirmation. Advice to Management: Please be transparent and professional during post-selection processes. Once you confirm a candidate’s selection, be honest if there are internal approval delays or changes. Such last-minute reversals can really mess with a candidate’s trust and livelihood.

So before joining here technologies, you really gotta read this. The interview process was smooth, I cleared the first round. The second round started okay, and I felt the interview went fine from my side. I was given an assignment which was totally new to me, I hadn't worked with vector data before and I mentioned that upfront. I had a few questions about the assignment, asked them a couple of times. There were two interviewers, one of them got really rude, telling me I could take courses but I needed to use my brain and they weren't going to spoon-feed me. Then she asked about my current salary and why I applied for such a high position. I didn't think salary should be asked in a technical interview, and her attitude made me feel like I wasn't qualified. It was a pretty bad experience with Here, quite a shame. I could name the interviewer but I know my limits. Good luck to anyone working with her.
