First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HERE Technologies.
Working Student
Had an HR interview first. Then they called me in for an onsite interview at the company office. There were two interview rounds in total. The first interview was with the Engineering Manager, and then the second interview was with team members. Both of these interviews were about an hour long.
- Questions about software engineering basics and the specific tech stack used by the team.

I had a really bad HR experience applying for a working student job at HERE. First time in 2018, I got a phone interview, then a face-to-face with HR and team. They accepted me and I quit my old job, but then weeks went by without a contract. They told me the position was cancelled due to internal issues. A year later, 2019, I applied again. Same process: phone screen, then face-to-face with the team lead, which went really well. HR even said I'd 'kind of sure' get the job. I waited a month, asked HR, and got no response. The company itself is great, but their HR seems to have major issues, especially since it happened twice.
- Can you tell me about your CV?
- Can you tell me about your projects?
- Can you tell me about your studies?
Working Student
I received an email invitation. Then there were 3 interviews: - First, a whiteboard coding session and questions about tool knowledge. - A group interview during lunch with general questions about personal experiences. - An interview with the hiring manager on technical topics. After that, it took a while until an offer was made and everything was processed.
- Determine the largest of three elements and the 10th largest of 100 elements.
