So overall the experience was kinda bad bc communication was all over the place and we went back and forth a lot. I did 2 rounds and then they just ghosted me. I reached out twice and they finally got back to me saying I didn't get it. But then like 2 days later they were like actually we do want to move you to a final interview. The day of that interview it got canceled last minute bc of an emergency. After a week of silence I followed up again and they told me the role had changed and I wasn't a fit anymore.

I had one initial screening chat and then a video interview. The hiring manager during the video call seemed a bit worried that my distribution center experience wasn't extensive enough, even though I pointed out that my work in a process safety management regulated facility also involves distribution operations. I clarified that I've got hands-on experience with time cycles and other crucial aspects of distribution centers because I perform similar tasks at a chemical plant. Also, I wasn't living close to the closest facility mentioned in the job description, but since it's a heavy travel position, I figured that wouldn't be an issue. In the end, I think they went with someone who was already local.

For this role, expect some behavioral questions where you'll need to use the STAR method. Questions will focus on times you exceeded expectations, managed conflict, or handled tough situations. The process usually includes a recruiter screening, an interview with the hiring manager, and at least one chat with a higher-level manager or subject matter expert.

The first interview went well, but the second and final interview was not good. The interviewer asked some condescending questions. After the interview, I was asked about my hobbies, and the response was just 'ok'. I was told I would be contacted regardless since it was the final interview, but I never heard back. It's understandable that early-stage candidates might not hear back if they aren't selected, but it's terrible when a company conducts final interviews with only a few candidates and doesn't even respond. It's rude. I wouldn't want to work for a company that can't even send a rejection email after you've reached the final stage.
