So, at Givaudan, the interview process usually has about three rounds, and each one is around 30 minutes. First, you'll chat with an HR recruiter who wants to see if you're a good fit and if you're motivated. Then, you'll talk to the hiring manager about your skills and what you've done. Lastly, you might have a chat with someone on the team to see if you'd fit in culturally and be able to work well with others in the department. It's set up to check things out step by step.

I was initially contacted for a phone screening, which was supposed to be followed by a final interview if I passed. But the screening basically just had me repeat what was in my CV and cover letter. No questions were asked that I hadn't already covered in my application. A few hours after the call, I found out they were giving the job to someone else. The screening felt kind of pointless, like they didn't really learn anything new about me. It seemed more like a formality. On the plus side, I got to ask some questions about the job that weren't clear from the ad, which was helpful. But honestly, the whole thing felt rushed and just like a process to get through.

My experience with Givaudan's hiring was pretty bad. I applied and then had several interviews over 3-4 months. During that whole time, they barely gave me any updates or personal contact. Finally, after waiting ages, I just got a generic rejection email, even though I tried to follow up a few times. It was a bummer how little they seemed to care about our time and how much effort we put in. The whole process made me feel like they don't really value candidates. It felt like HR and the team just ghosted us, testing our patience until we felt helpless.
