First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Freudenberg Group.
Sales Manager
Recruiter reached out. We had a good conversation, at first I was not interested in going back in to battery world but compensation made me consider it. Said they were going to put me in touch with sales director and technology director. Process dragged on for a couple months. After a couple different calls and interviews they asked if I would be interested in covering multiple segments and said no problem.
- How would you promote their new product to the market they are hiring for?
IT Support Specialist
First, there was a 30 minute phone call with HR. The following week, I had a 30 minute video interview with two team members. Then, the next week, I did a 1 hour in-person interview with the same team. It's helpful to do some research on the company beforehand, knowing their history and what they sell. Their Wikipedia page has more info.
- Could you explain what DNS is and its function?
- Out of these six IP addresses, which three are Private?
- How would you handle a situation where you're assisting a user and the CEO urgently requests your help?
Procurement Manager
I had a few interviews, starting with HR for recruiting, then one with the director and hiring manager. After that, I spoke with an HR manager from Italy, and then met a Procurement Manager counterpart for an on-site interview. Finally, I had a meeting with the VP. I received an initial offer, but then I disclosed my pregnancy, and unfortunately, they rescinded the offer, stating they couldn't hire me anymore due to it. I shared this for transparency, and it's important to note that pregnancy is legally protected. This is the first time I've faced discrimination in my career. It seems like the company has poor ethics and a short-sighted approach if they can't manage for a few months without a person.
- Can you describe your experience and what you consider best practices in supply chain and procurement?
Human Resources Intern
First, we'll start with a greeting and some small talk, then I'll tell you about the company. After that, you'll introduce yourself. We'll then dive into questions about your expertise and professional experience, followed by questions about your soft skills and personality. We'll also cover some situational or hypothetical questions. Then, I'll present the open position, and you'll have the opportunity to ask your questions. Finally, we'll discuss the next steps before we conclude with a farewell.
- What was a big problem for you when you first came to Germany?
