First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Foxconn.
IT Support Engineer
The interview process at Foxconn was pretty straightforward and organized. It started with HR checking if I was okay with rotational shifts and talking about salary. Then there was a technical round that was pretty basic, covering networking basics, how to troubleshoot systems, and a bit about SQL. After passing that, HR went over the pay structure and then we got into the paperwork, which involved giving ID, bank info, and school papers. Once they checked everything, I got the offer letter and my start date.
- Would you be okay working in rotational shifts, and does that include night shifts?
Product Quality Engineer
The interview process has 3 rounds, starting with a technical assessment, followed by a technical interview, and concluding with an HR interview. You need to qualify one round to move to the next. Basic questions are asked during the interview. The HR interview covers your education background, family background, and your comfort with the shifts, including night shifts. They provide a 2-way cab facility and food.
- Can you explain the working principle of a radio?
- How does a television function?
- Could you tell me about diodes?
Software Engineer
So the interview process involves a few steps. First, you'll have a recruiter call. Then, there's a technical screen. During these stages, you'll be asked to talk about your past job duties and what you accomplished, why you left your last job and what you're looking for career-wise, and your goals for the future, both short and long term. You'll also need to explain how you'd go about designing and planning a dashboard, covering the process, tools, and what makes a good dashboard.
- Can you elaborate on Single Page Applications in the context of front-end development?
Junior Engineer
First, you fill out a very long form and need to submit some important documents, which are only required once you are hired. Then, you undergo medical exams with them and complete a psychometric test. Be aware of the recruiters; I had one who didn't send me the exam until I repeatedly emailed them. They hold an informational session where they tell everyone they've been accepted but need to submit their documents quickly. In my case, I sent mine on the first day, and they responded that my vacancy had already been filled without any reason. They are the type of company where you have to beg for an email response. Regarding salaries, it's okay for starting out, but their hours are very difficult, from Monday to Saturday, 8 hours a day with tough shifts, making it hard to balance your life with work. What I found funny is that for the medical evaluation, they tell you to print a lot of documents, but these are for them to have extra paper for future applications, since they receive those papers from you and give you others.
- No interview, only an informational session.
