Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Foxconn.
Technical Engineer
Had a chill hour-long interview where they talked about their teams work and asked about my experience. It was one-on-one with a few team members, including a senior and junior engineer, and then I met with the boss.
- Tell me about how you manage conflict situations.
Engineer
My interview experience was similar to others at the City of Industry, CA location, with a slight hiccup where one interviewer was on speakerphone due to a malfunctioning video conference. It started with a conversation with a Foxconn engineer at my university's career fair. About a month later, HR called me for a phone interview where they asked about my background and career preferences. A couple of weeks after that, the same HR person contacted me to set up an onsite interview. The onsite visit lasted about 4 hours and involved 4 people: 2 HR reps and 2 Engineers (one of whom was on speakerphone). I had to give a presentation on a past school project, and then they asked a bunch of questions about it. Following that, there were many behavioral questions. The whole process felt well-organized, and everyone was really pleasant and polite. It was a shame the video conferencing didn't work, as it made it tough to fully explain parts of my presentation to the interviewer in Pennsylvania.
- What would you do if a client rejected your design, insisted on their way, and then tried to bribe you against company policy?
- What kind of work do you least enjoy doing?
- Tell me about a time you had to stand up to someone in authority.
Senior Engineer
I had an interview with the hardware manager, then with HR. Finally, I took an English test. I got the offer letter about a week after the interviews, and my start date is one month after receiving the offer.
- Why do you want to join Foxconn?
- What is your alma mater?
