So the interview process involves a few steps. First, you'll have a recruiter call. Then, there's a technical screen. During these stages, you'll be asked to talk about your past job duties and what you accomplished, why you left your last job and what you're looking for career-wise, and your goals for the future, both short and long term. You'll also need to explain how you'd go about designing and planning a dashboard, covering the process, tools, and what makes a good dashboard.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The whole thing took about a month. A recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn and set up a phone call with some senior engineers. They really dug into my resume experiences. Then, the day after the call, the recruiter contacted me again to set up an in-person interview. They gave me two weeks to prep a design challenge to present to the senior engineers. It was pretty stressful and intimidating. A week after that, they let me know they weren't moving forward with my application.

A friend referred me, and the interview was set up over the phone. It felt unorganized. The first technical round began with the interviewer firing questions without proper introductions or easing me in. They asked me to self-assess my proficiency in programming languages like Java and C++, then proceeded with rapid-fire questions like a timed quiz. The second round was with the manager, which felt more personal. They were quite polite, showed real interest in my background, and shared details about the work at the company.

  • How would you rate your skills in programming languages like Java and C++?
  • Can you write some database queries?
  • Tell me about sorting and algorithms in programming languages.
