First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Follett.
Auditor
I had an initial HR call with a recruiter where they reviewed my background. Following that, I spoke with the hiring manager, who asked me questions related to my resume. Finally, I had a call with members of the team.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
Sales Associate
So I applied, and then got an email to see if I could make it to a group interview. By the end of that week, I got an offer email asking when I could start.
- Tell me about a time you stepped into a leadership role and what happened.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated leadership and the outcome?
Product Manager
Had an initial 30-minute screener call where they asked typical questions. Then, 7 days later, I moved to the next round with the hiring manager for another 30-minute call. Unfortunately, I never heard back from the recruiter or hiring manager after that, despite spending an hour and sending thank you notes. It was pretty unprofessional.
- Could you share some information about your professional history?
Store Manager
I applied for the store manager position twice through Indeed. It really seemed like the perfect fit because I love books and have more than 10 years of retail management experience. I got an email to set up a phone interview, and the person I spoke with was really nice and personable. I thought I would move on to a second interview after filling out the application online. But then I got a rejection email. The second interviewer didn't even bother to meet with me. It was super disappointing.
- What made you apply for this position?
- Have you ever leased space before?
- When could you potentially start?
