Behavioral Technical

My interview experience with FINN was a bit of a mixed bag. The first part was cool and friendly. The person interviewing me laid out the job details clearly, and the whole process seemed organized and put together. I heard back pretty fast. But the second part was different. They said they'd get back to me super quick, like within a day. It ended up taking a few weeks though. Also, it got unexpectedly casual – there was swearing and stuff like, “This isn’t a good way to ask, but I’ll ask anyway.” While being chill is usually good, the unprofessional language was a surprise. Oh, and they mentioned the team works until 7 p.m., which sounds like a tough work-life balance. So, yeah, I didn't get the job, but the beginning was professional. The delays and the really casual tone later on made me feel iffy about the company culture and how they communicate.

Behavioral Technical Case

The company reached out to me for the role. The initial call with the team lead was good and the questions were straightforward. Then, they sent a case study that felt unreasonable given the time commitment required, and it seemed to involve making up numbers without a clear purpose. This made me question if the required skill level was higher than what was initially communicated. Although I felt like withdrawing, I completed and submitted the case study, and inquired about the necessary skill set to avoid similar future efforts. However, instead of answering my questions, they pushed to schedule the next round. Shortly after submitting the case, I received a rejection email, stating they had many good submissions and had canceled the next round interview. I was in touch with HR throughout and wasn't informed about the competitive nature of the submissions or that the interview would only proceed if my submission was superior. The process of scheduling an interview for the next day to receive the submission and then canceling it felt unprofessional. Based on other reviews about similar case studies leading to no offers, I'm concerned about potential outsourcing of work.
