I had my interview last month, and it was a really smooth process. Even though I'm based in Pune, the recruiter set up video calls for the interviews since the company is in Gurgaon. The HR Recruiter, Lagan Saluja, was super professional, polite, and a great host. After two technical rounds and one directorial round, I was invited for a face-to-face meeting with the Manager and Director. They gave me a detailed rundown of the company, the role, and what the responsibilities would be. The company took care of all the arrangements, and they hosted me really well. All the communication was timely, and I received my offer letter promptly because they needed someone urgently.

I was looking for opportunities at Encore Analytics because I heard good things from people who went to my college. I found a job opening on a job portal, and the hiring team reached out to me directly. The whole interview process was really fast and smooth. I finished talking to HR and the business team within 5 days, but unfortunately, I didn't pass the case study. It's rare to get feedback when you don't make it through. The hiring team, especially Neha, was great with follow-ups and responding quickly. I'm hoping to get another chance soon and do better next time.

Case Technical Behavioral Presentation

Some interviewers are impolite. First, I had a recruiter call, mostly introductions and job details. Then, a phone interview with a senior business analyst who gave a pretty easy case about a coffee shop's revenue and profit changes. They wanted to know why profit dropped despite higher revenue and what to do about it. After that, I flew to San Diego for an onsite interview (travel/hotel covered). First was a video call with a director who asked about my quantitative research background and its relevance to the BA role, with some strange questions about my projects. Next, another interviewer gave a logic puzzle, which felt like it had too many unclear clues and was a bit rigid, but I managed with hints. Then, I had another case study, a hotel one, which was easy. I also met a young business analyst who asked about my background and some behavioral questions, trying to paint the company as creative. They asked how many ways I could think of to make a consumer pay debt, positively and negatively. The final interviewer was really rude, speaking way too fast about a case involving mailing bills with different costs and response rates. He was also pacing around and impatient with my clarifying questions. After the interview, he gave me a tour, and someone there was very rude when I was introduced. This makes me think the work environment is unfriendly. Overall, recruiters/HR were friendly, though not great with replies. Some interviewers were good, others very impolite and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend traveling for this interview, especially with the low base salary and poor company culture, which I feel might be linked to their business of stressing consumers who struggle with debt.
