The interview process was efficient and well-communicated, with clear expectations set for the role. Lagan Saluja was very prompt and clear in her communication. She reached out first, described the position and company, and asked some general questions. I completed three rounds of interviews, which included both face-to-face and telephonic discussions. All interactions were with friendly and professional individuals. The job description and expectations were clearly laid out, and the interview questions aligned with these. After each interview stage, the HR recruiter provided timely feedback. Overall, my experience interviewing with Encore was very positive, with a special thanks to Lagan Saluja.

I had an initial phone interview with the recruiter. Then I had a phone interview with a team member. The recruiter said it was an informal chat, but we immediately jumped into a business case about analyzing the profitability of a small company. I did well enough to be invited for 4 1:1 interviews onsite. The recruiter didn't mention any more business cases for the onsite, but when I asked, she said I'd have one more. Once I arrived, I was told I'd have 2 business cases. In the end, I had 4 business cases, one in each interview. They were relevant to the business and challenging. I was surprised that the team member who interviewed me over the phone wasn't the hiring manager, and I only casually learned who the hiring manager was from someone else. It was hard to figure out the key people and how they interacted. There was also a lot of unclear communication about the role's responsibilities. I asked the recruiter if it was a liaison role, and she said no, it was integral to the business. But during the onsite interviews, it became clear it was a liaison role. The hiring manager mentioned another non-liaison role open for someone with similar qualifications, and I could be considered for that. After the interviews, the recruiter asked about the business cases and the process. I told her there was ambiguity and I wasn't interested in the role. She then claimed I didn't meet the analytical requirements, which was odd since she just asked for my feedback. She then asked why I didn't say I wasn't interested earlier. She admitted there were internal disagreements about the role's responsibilities and they had a meeting about it. The whole process was disappointing. I believe I didn't do well on the business cases. Even if they offered me the job I wanted, I wouldn't have taken it due to the low salary, dumpy office, and misinformation.

There were 3 rounds with 4 interviews total. The focus was heavily on case studies related to the business. They also asked for sample presentations I'd made previously. The interviewer was pretty calm and gave feedback right away, which was great. The only downside is they seem to have specific answers in mind, and if you don't say exactly what they're looking for, you won't get the job.
