Behavioral Case

The interview process is pretty standard. First, there's a phone interview with a recruiter to go over your background and experience, understand how the company makes money, and why you're interested in the role. Then, there's a business case phone interview where they'll ask for your GPA, background info, and give you a business case to work through. The recruiter was nice, but the phone interviewer for the case didn't offer much feedback. I really need more practice with case interviews, especially on forming hypotheses before diving deep into the analysis. I tried to get feedback, but they were pretty tight-lipped. I guess I performed poorly enough that the interviewer didn't want to engage further. Key things to focus on are clear communication, generating solid hypotheses, and making actionable recommendations based on the case.

So, the first step was a phone interview. The recruiter started by asking me for a quick intro about myself. After that, they wanted me to go through my resume with them and talk more about the things on it. Then, we moved on to a case study part. They gave me a scenario and I had to break down the problem and explain my thoughts.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you tell me a little about yourself?
  • Could you elaborate on your resume?
  • Suppose there's a bakery selling bagels and coffee. What are your ideas for reducing their expenses?
