It started with phone screens with the recruiter and the hiring manager. Then, I had a nearly 5-hour on-site interview, which included lunch. The on-site had five 1:1 interviews, some logic/business cases, and a presentation on a given topic to a panel. I didn't get an offer, but they said I did well.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I applied online and got a call from a recruiter who asked basic behavioral questions about my skills, expertise, and salary expectations. Then, I had a phone interview with a senior analyst, which involved standard questions about my interest in the role, the company, and my skills. After that, the recruiter called to set up an in-person interview. It was a 4-hour session with 4-5 people, including analysts, a VP, and HR staff. I was given difficult business cases, a logic test, and economic tests. The interviewers seemed disengaged. A few days later, I was called for another interview with the VP, which was mostly behavioral and skills-based. A few days after that, I was invited for a final interview with some analysts where I answered the same questions again and did another business case. The company culture seemed dreary and the people unenthusiastic. A week after that, the recruiter said they loved me and would have final details. However, after two weeks of no contact, I emailed for an update. No response. I emailed a hiring manager, and the recruiter then sent a standard rejection email, leaving me in the dark for two weeks after suggesting I basically had the job. The process felt disrespectful and unprofessional.

This was the second round of interviews, following an initial phone call. It started with a self-introduction, then a case interview where I had to recommend profit and revenue strategies for marketing. They asked about my previous experience with revenue management in a campus coffee shop. They emphasized that business acumen is crucial for this role.
