Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Encore Capital Group.
Legal Specialist
The interview was with my potential supervisor and the general manager who was moving on from the role. It was in a comfy conference room and they were super nice and seemed really happy to meet me. They asked me a mix of general interview questions and questions specific to the legal field. Afterwards, I got a quick tour of the office and met some of the long-term employees. The whole vibe was pretty laid-back. They clearly knew what they were doing when it came to interviewing, being so welcoming and informed.
- What's your approach when you're not sure how to move forward?
Legal Specialist
ECPG amazing generalist will step up an in person interview. This process took two weeks.. It's better to start applying at the end of the month to begin working/training towards the beginning of the month.

Corporate Paralegal
I had a quick call with a recruiter who gave me some resume feedback. I was open to it and even updated my resume based on her suggestions. I followed up for an update but never heard back. The recruiter totally ignored my emails. Super unprofessional and shows how they treat their people.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What's prompting your job search away from your current role?
- In what ways do your skills match the requirements of this position?
