I just had the recruiter call and then the hiring manager round. The recruiter call was super rough, like the worst I've ever experienced. The recruiter was outright rude, took my picture and voice without asking, and it felt like they were using AI to ask questions and type up my answers. Then, after the call with the hiring manager, which I actually liked, I got totally ghosted with no feedback or any kind of update.

I applied online and a few days later got sent an assessment. I found out I passed the assessment within a couple of hours and was able to schedule a video interview with a recruiter the same day. The interview was about 20-30 minutes. We talked about my resume, the job details, and she mentioned the starting pay of about $22/hr, that it was fully remote, and benefits. She then said she'd move me forward to interview with managers and scheduled it right then. The interview with two managers was 3 days later over Zoom, and they asked STAR-based questions. They reviewed the job and requirements again at the end and said I'd hear back within a week. I got a job offer 24 hours later. Then, 24 hours after that, the background check started, asking for 10 years of history and a credit check. The start date is in about 30 days, and the offer was $24/hr. Overall, it was a very laid-back and great experience.

I wanted to share my recent experience with Empower. I scheduled an interview for a Friday morning and received an email confirmation with a Zoom link. I took time off work to prepare, but when I joined the Zoom room, no one showed up after I waited 20 minutes. I emailed the recruiter to reschedule but received no response. Later, I got a rejection email stating they had 'decided to move forward with another candidate.' I found this very unprofessional, especially since they rejected me without even interviewing me. I can't even rate the difficulty because the interview never happened.

So, I applied, and then had to do this assessment thing. Took them about 3 weeks to get back to me, but then I got a phone interview. That was mostly about the job details, like pay and benefits and what to expect. She also asked about a time I dealt with a tough customer and how I managed it. After that, they invited me to a video interview with the hiring manager, which was just standard behavioral questions, nothing too crazy. Right after that, like within a couple of hours, I had a video call with the recruiter and got offered the job.
