First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Edelweiss Financial Services.
Software Development Engineer
The interviews were heavy on Data Structures and Algorithms. There were several rounds where they focused on DS, Algo, and how efficiently you can solve problems. They checked my coding speed, how well I could optimize, and if I could explain my thought process clearly when I was under pressure.
- Tell me about your experience with Dynamic Programming.
- How would you approach a Binary Search problem?
- Can you explain how heaps work?
Data Engineer
The test was pretty much all about data structures and algorithms (DSA). It covered a lot of stuff in that area and was really hard, needing a strong grasp of DSA concepts, both basic and advanced. The questions weren't just about knowing the theory; they also checked how well you could think critically and solve problems. A lot of the problems needed careful thought and smart coding to get the best answers within the time limit. Overall, the exam was difficult and really made candidates show off their skills and practical abilities in DSA, making it a tough evaluation for anyone taking it.
- The DSA questions were tough.
Project Manager
First, there was a 30-minute online one-on-one chat, and then I met the team leader in person. It wasn't too tough, but I think my communication skills and how I answered questions about my applications, which I'd submitted online, really helped.
- Can you share your previous work experiences?
- What contributes to your job satisfaction?
Quant Researcher
It was a 3 round process. The first was a technical interview focusing on Probability and Statistics, and also diving deep into your resume. The second round was with the manager, covering resume details and situational questions. The final round was a confirmation call with HR. The process wasn't too intense, and the interviewers were quite helpful. Be prepared to share your screen and code something in a language you're comfortable with. A key thing is to know thoroughly everything you've put on your resume.
- What is your motivation for joining our company?
