So, the interview process was pretty straightforward. First, I had a screening call with the recruiter. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager, and after that, I had a final interview with another Digital Engagement Manager. Honestly, each conversation went well, and the hiring manager moved me to the next round right away. The reasons this was a negative experience are: 1) They canceled a 4th interview at the last minute. I sent a confirmation email and asked for more details, but the recruiter went silent. A week later, they told me I wasn't moving forward. 2) When I asked for feedback on why I wasn't selected even though I was qualified, the recruiter again went silent. 3) During the first call, the recruiter said the salary was 90-105k base plus a 20k bonus. But right before they canceled my last interview, they changed the job posting to say up to 149k. It felt kind of sketchy overall.

The first part of the interview process was a call with a recruiter. It was a chill, chatty, and easygoing call, making it easier to talk about my background. She asked some good questions about my experience, explained what the job involves and what's expected, and gave me some useful info about how the team is set up and what the company is like. Overall, it was a good and informative first chat that helped me figure out if the job would be a good fit for me.

The interview process involves 3 to 4 rounds. It starts with a 30-minute recruiter screen, followed by a 45-minute hiring manager screen. The final 3/4 rounds are 30-minute panel interviews with people from the sales vertical you're applying to. The team members you speak with are really nice, knowledgeable, and ambitious. The main problem is the recruiter, who seems to represent the worst of current recruiting. After the initial recruiter call, all communication was just automated emails to schedule interviews. The recruiter never replied to any follow-up emails or calls asking for prep advice or feedback. They also consistently missed deadlines for providing updates without any explanation. While I get that I might not have been the top candidate, just know that if you apply, you'll probably never know where you stand with the team or the company.

I had a weird recruitment experience with Definitive Healthcare. It started with two calls with the recruiter, but they weren't really prepared and missed info. They ended up talking about their Disney trips and real estate instead of the job. Then, no follow-up at all, which was frustrating. The recruiter also gave me mixed info about who I'd report to and work with, which confused things later with the hiring manager. The second interview with the manager felt cold and distant, making it hard to connect. I used the STAR method to answer, hoping to make a good impression despite her attitude. Surprisingly, I moved on after a week. The third round, with the same manager, was different. She liked my case study presentation, saying it was clear and I knew my stuff. But even with that, I didn't get the job. The rejection was a generic email three days later, which felt impersonal and like a letdown after the case study went well.
