The recruitment process was very professional and the team was responsive. It kicked off with a phone screening, and the whole application process was super easy. HR was also really helpful with answering my questions throughout. It was a bit hard to fully grasp the role's details unless I specifically asked more questions.

I had a phone interview with their HR department. The woman came off kind of condescending and rude, she asked me one question which was the go to "tell me about yourself" and then asked me if I had any questions for her. Once I had finished asking my questions, she asked if I had any more questions. As an organization, you're trying to get to know both sides of the party to see if it's a positive fit. I felt like she should have asked more questions (especially more than just one), and not have me leading the conversation. I felt as though she was unprepared for the meeting, and that it was more one sided with me doing most of the talking. One of my questions was that I was interested to learn about the compensation package outside of the base salary, and her short response was that they had all the usual benefits. She seemed in a real hurry from the start to get the conversation over with. For example, they give their employees time off to volunteer. This is something she could have boasted about but instead I read this info on their website. I've heard a lot of good things about this organization, but they need their HR department to connect better with possible applicants. This was one of the more negative experiences that I had with job applications.

The interview process was fine overall, but unnecessarily long and drawn out. They had an event for college seniors interested in the entry level positions starting in summer 2019. It was good to hear more about the positions and talk to the managers of the different teams, however it also was in place of a first round interview. It was a bit awkwardly set up, as other people were waiting in line to talk to the same managers. After a month (too long in my opinion), a recruiter reached out and offered another interview. This one was about 1.5 hours long where I talked to 3 different team managers. They were all nice, but asked roughly the same questions. After this was a take home exercise which was fairly easy and intuitive to complete. Finally, the recruiter followed up and offered a final round interview. This one was with a few of the higher ups in the company. One of them seemed like he hadn't even seen my resume and continued to ask questions that I had answered in the first round. The other two were more to get a feel of the company, and they asked very few questions but answered some of mine. It took around 3 weeks for the recruiter to get back to me to let me know that they were going with someone who is a "better fit for the position". Overall, everyone involved was fine and answered my questions. The process was far too long, repetitive, and all of the interviews took place at their office in Framingham, which is not easy to get to from Boston. My impression of the company is that it is very corporate and not very diverse. Everyone looked the the same and it seems like they are the type of company that hires people from a select few colleges/universities.
