Applied and got an interview invite in a week. First, I had to pass a timed assessment with about 50 questions that seemed designed to take up time. I only managed to finish about 30 questions and still passed. Next, a two-hour interview was scheduled very quickly, for the following week. They said 3 team members would be there, but only at the start. The interview had three parts: first, a presentation on an app like Gmail and common interview questions. Second, I was supposed to shadow an employee and listen to calls, but it was a different person than listed and no calls came in. Third, more interview questions and some housekeeping questions with upper management. I got the decision by the next business day morning via an email that I could reply to.

Behavioral Technical

Applied on the website and was contacted by a recruiter for an initial chat. That convo went well and communication felt good. A second interview was set up a few days later with who I think was the hiring manager. It also went really well and we talked salary. There was a chance of a third courtesy interview with the CRO, but they considered skipping it to go straight to offer. The person from the first interview said she told the hiring manager, "We need this guy". That was on a Friday. Unexpectedly, I got a rejection email on Monday afternoon. When I asked why, I just got "the hiring manager decided to go in a different direction". Given the good feedback in the first two interviews, I'm not sure what happened.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had a 4-part interview process over 4 days. First was a phone interview with HR. Then a non-technical Zoom interview with my potential supervisor. After that, a technical Zoom interview where I had to do a mock analysis in Excel on screen with the supervisor. The last part was a Zoom meeting with a C-suite executive. They wanted to know if I had the technical skills and the interpersonal skills and character traits to fit the company and team culture. It was professional, pleasant, and relaxed, like a conversation where I could ask a lot of questions.

Behavioral Technical Coding Presentation

I applied on Indeed and heard back from HR pretty quickly to set up a chat with a recruiter. That first interview was about 30 minutes, mostly just talking about myself and my coding background. The recruiter mentioned the next steps would be a homework assignment, followed by a final interview where I'd present my work and answer questions. The next day, HR sent over the details for the assignment and the team interview. The technical interview lasted about an hour. We started by going over the homework assignment, which took a bit longer than I expected because I had to get a Windows server working on my Mac. I explained my thought process for the assignment, then answered some questions about my code, and then everyone asked me some general interview questions. They finished by giving me time to ask my own questions. I got a call offering me the job by the end of that week, making the whole process about two weeks from application to offer.
