The interview journey had a phone screen, then two more remote interviews. Everyone I talked to was really chill and knew how to mix talking about work with personal stuff. It never felt like they were trying to trick me or make me feel bad.

Applied on the website and was contacted by a recruiter for an initial chat. That convo went well and communication felt good. A second interview was set up a few days later with who I think was the hiring manager. It also went really well and we talked salary. There was a chance of a third courtesy interview with the CRO, but they considered skipping it to go straight to offer. The person from the first interview said she told the hiring manager, "We need this guy". That was on a Friday. Unexpectedly, I got a rejection email on Monday afternoon. When I asked why, I just got "the hiring manager decided to go in a different direction". Given the good feedback in the first two interviews, I'm not sure what happened.

The interview process was very smooth. We exchanged a few emails to set up the phone interview, and then the final interview was conducted via video. After receiving the job offer call, the process has continued to be easy, and I'm excited to start this new position. In total, it took less than 3 weeks from applying to starting this position.
