Behavioral

I did the written and video OA, and it was good they even tabled at my university and I had good response, though I could not proceed further. The OA asked about situations I have been a part of previously and how I dealt with them. They also gave some hypothetical questions and asked how we would behave at that time.

The interview process for Technology Interns consisted of two main rounds. First, there was a HireVue 1-way interview where candidates answered 5 behavioral questions. This was followed by a 30-minute Zoom interview with a developer and a technical director. This second round included about 10 questions, all of which were behavioral or focused on professional experience. This process was the same for all technology intern candidates.

Behavioral Technical Case

First up is a recruiter call, super easy, just to check if you're a fit based on basic qualifications. Next, you'll talk to the department manager, which felt like a vibe check and experience review. Then, there's a technical interview with a few people, all scenario-based questions. You also get a case study to work on for a week and then present.

I interviewed with CSX and wanted to share my experience. It began with a recruiter phone screen, followed by a phone interview with a team member. After a few weeks, I had a panel interview with HR and two team members. This was followed by an onsite interview with the Hiring Manager. I had a lot of trouble booking travel, and even had to pay for my hotel and rental car myself because their company card was declined. The onsite interview itself went fine, though the office was pretty dated. I got a verbal offer, but after I asked for a bit more money, I never heard back from the recruiter. Eventually, I got an automated rejection email saying they were going with other candidates. I was fine with not getting the job, but I was surprised they didn't handle the travel and booking situation better for potential employees.
