First up is a recruiter call, super easy, just to check if you're a fit based on basic qualifications. Next, you'll talk to the department manager, which felt like a vibe check and experience review. Then, there's a technical interview with a few people, all scenario-based questions. You also get a case study to work on for a week and then present.

Behavioral Case Presentation

It kicks off with a nice dinner the night before the main interviews, where you'll meet current employees, likely in their early to mid-thirties, with one senior CSX person present. The dinner is usually low-key, but you can try to get info about the next day by asking questions. The next day's face-to-face interviews are pretty standard. During the case presentation, some folks from the dinner will probably attend, along with the most senior person encountered so far, and their opinion on your presentation is likely key. I questioned some of the case's assumptions because they seemed unreasonable. The most senior person didn't seem to appreciate that.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process involved three rounds. It began with an introductory call, followed by three in-person interviews, each with two interviewers. One of the rounds included presenting a case study. The entire process was quite demanding and thorough. I found the Jacksonville office to be in a great location and very pleasant. The staff were really friendly and made sure to acknowledge the time I took. Overall, it was a really positive interview experience.
