Project Manager
The interview process felt a bit rushed after it was completed. I got an offer really fast, with only 1.5 business days to look at it. I never met the hiring manager. I had several questions that they didn't fully answer before they became less responsive and ended up giving the job to someone else. They didn't explain why the job posting didn't match the in-office expectations for my location, and they never answered my questions about the in-office culture or what to expect. Based on this, I don't think this company values people in this position or their employees in general. It was pretty embarrassing for Corpay for me to tell my former colleague who referred me that their company was shady about WFH vs. In-person and meeting the hiring manager, so they never reissued an offer to me.
- Can you tell me about a time you provided customer service that exceeded expectations?
Product Support Specialist
First, I had an HR phone screen where they mostly went over the role and pay. Then, I met with the VP to talk more about what the job involves and answer some behavioral questions. After that, I had meetings with the managers and some team members I'd be working with. We discussed my past tech experience and I answered some basic API questions. It seemed like they were mainly checking for cultural fit. The last step was another meeting with the VP.
- Can you share an instance where you handled a frustrated customer? What was your approach to calming them down and how did you work towards a resolution?
- What's your background with technology?
- Could you answer a few basic questions about APIs?
Product Manager
The interviews were more of a chat, which I liked. But the company had a problem with the recruiters and management not being on the same page about the process. I'd get an email for availability and then nothing for over two weeks. After a final interview, they said they'd decide in a week, but again, no communication, no follow-up, not even a rejection email. I was basically ghosted! The recruiter told me I was their top pick and to let them know if I got other offers. I did keep them updated, but it didn't seem to change anything with their messed-up process. The lack of communication, planning, and basic courtesy to follow up really put me off.
- Can you discuss your experience?
- Walk me through some of your past projects.
- How do you approach prioritization?
Software Engineer
They had me do a first HR call, then a second technical interview where I had to share my screen. After that, there was a third interview that also involved screen sharing and asked a Leet code style question. The fourth interview was system design style, and the fifth was with the manager, covering behavioral and technical experience. The interview process was good, but then they told me they couldn't meet my salary expectations, which made me wonder why they didn't ask about that in the first place.
- Questions mostly focused on backend development using C#.
- Asked a Leet code style question during a screen-shared interview.
- Conducted a system design style interview.
