Transportation Supervisor
I got an email for a zoom screen a day after applying. The person I spoke with was very cool, relaxed, and understanding about my employment situation. He liked my experience and thought I was a great candidate, but I was asking for too much money. I said I didn't want money to be the only thing that disqualified me, and he said he'd talk to the HM to see what they could do and let me know. I felt like I was basically guaranteed a second interview. Two days later, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward with me. I emailed back for follow-up but got no response.
- What is your current work situation
Project Manager
So, an internal recruiter reached out to me, and it seemed promising at first. I had to postpone the chat with the hiring manager two times. When we finally connected, the manager was quite preoccupied, dealing with a noisy kid and dog at home due to the UK/US time difference. I felt like I did okay, but the role wasn't what the job ad made it out to be, which made me think the recruiter didn't really look into it and was just trying to hit a target. After talking to the hiring manager, the recruiter mentioned a follow-up call for the next week, but it never happened, and I never heard back.
- Were you previously involved in retail marketing?
Sales Associate
First, a recruiter will give you a ring to make sure your application details are correct. They'll chat a bit about the sales job, your past work, and what you're hoping to earn. If it looks like a good match, they'll set up an online chat. Then, you'll get a link for an online meeting, so be sure to hop on right on time. A hiring manager or team lead will be interviewing you. They'll want to know about your skills, your previous jobs, and why you're keen on this gig. Be ready to dish on how you've handled certain things in a retail setting before. If you ace the interview, you'll hear that you got the job! You'll then pick the store you'd like to work at from the available spots. Once you confirm your preferred store, you'll get the lowdown on how to get started with onboarding.
- Can you work overnight shifts, specifically from 10 PM to 6 AM?
Assistant Manager
Applied online for Circle K in Parker, CO. The hiring manager called me the following Monday. I told him I wasn't prepared or properly dressed for the interview, so we rescheduled for 10 AM that day since he would be out for almost a week. The interview went well, and he said he'd ask the company to 'hurry up' the offer. He mentioned he had another interview for the position but that I could be a team member for 90 days and then move into the Assistant Manager position at that same store, regardless of whether he hired the other person. Everything seemed good at the end, but when I checked the Circle K website later, my application was listed as expired the day after the interview.
- What is your attendance record like?
