Product Marketer
Had a 30-minute intro call with the VP of Marketing to get acquainted. I talked about my experience, and they shared info on the company's current situation, challenges, and future potential. It was a good experience overall, even though I didn't move forward.

Sales Development Representative
The interview process started with some standard questions, which wasn't too difficult. The first two interviews both involved a cold call exercise. Unfortunately, there was a hiring freeze in the middle of the process. I wasn't too bothered as I had a great impression of the company and the people I met, and I was keen to continue when hiring resumed. They did contact me again a few weeks later, expressing strong interest and wanting to proceed. I then interviewed with the VP of Sales, followed by the CEO. The final interview with the CEO was quite off-putting; based on other feedback, it seems he might not be suited for hiring. He joined the call dressed in a robe, from what appeared to be a hotel room with a bed visible in the background. His communication skills were poor, and he arrogantly posed technical questions, attempting to trick me, though I managed to answer them correctly due to my tech knowledge. I received an offer the next day, but it was less than half of what was advertised. They explained that some changes were made during the hiring freeze, and the offer was firm. I found this insulting after investing so much time and effort, only to be severely lowballed. It seemed like they lacked the budget, hence the 'hiring freeze,' but it's questionable to hire for a role if the compensation is minimal. Naturally, I declined the offer, as my current job pays me fairly. While the company appears promising externally, the management seems greedy and exploitative, particularly towards international talent.

Customer Support Engineer
So the company headhunted me and I was interested in the role. They sent me a test with 4 questions and I had to record a video explaining my answers. Unfortunately, some personal stuff happened and I couldn't respond as quickly as they wanted (they contacted me on Monday and wanted it by Friday), because I had no internet for the whole week due to a house issue. I sorted that out on Monday, finished the test, and recorded the video. The platform they used (greenhouse) didn't accept mp4 or any video file, so I uploaded it to YouTube as an unlisted video with my answers and put the link in the greenhouse textbox. I emailed the recruiter saying I was done, but they completely ignored me, which was weird because they were responsive before. Two days later, I got a generic rejection email with no feedback or suggestions for improvement. The video still has zero views, so I'm guessing they didn't even review my application. I get that it took me a week to respond, but some feedback would have been nice.

Business Development Representative
I applied on LinkedIn at the end of 2021. Before I could talk to anyone, I had to complete two assignments. I submitted a video answering some questions and a BDR assessment. Then I met with a BDR manager, which was pretty chill and casual. You should be ready to pitch and get feedback. The next step was another video interview with a different BDR manager. He had me pitch again, incorporating the feedback from the first pitch. I didn't get the job, which was disappointing, but overall it was okay. I just wish there was some human interaction before they ask for deliverables.
