Sales Development Representative
The interview process started with some standard questions, which wasn't too difficult. The first two interviews both involved a cold call exercise. Unfortunately, there was a hiring freeze in the middle of the process. I wasn't too bothered as I had a great impression of the company and the people I met, and I was keen to continue when hiring resumed. They did contact me again a few weeks later, expressing strong interest and wanting to proceed. I then interviewed with the VP of Sales, followed by the CEO. The final interview with the CEO was quite off-putting; based on other feedback, it seems he might not be suited for hiring. He joined the call dressed in a robe, from what appeared to be a hotel room with a bed visible in the background. His communication skills were poor, and he arrogantly posed technical questions, attempting to trick me, though I managed to answer them correctly due to my tech knowledge. I received an offer the next day, but it was less than half of what was advertised. They explained that some changes were made during the hiring freeze, and the offer was firm. I found this insulting after investing so much time and effort, only to be severely lowballed. It seemed like they lacked the budget, hence the 'hiring freeze,' but it's questionable to hire for a role if the compensation is minimal. Naturally, I declined the offer, as my current job pays me fairly. While the company appears promising externally, the management seems greedy and exploitative, particularly towards international talent.

So there are usually 4 interview rounds. The ones I went through were with a recruiter, a manager, a director, and the CEO. The whole thing felt really put together and quick. They got back to me fast, and everyone I talked to was nice and kept me interested.
