First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Celestica.
HRIS Intern
First, there was an HR phone interview that covered why I'm interested in Celestica and this specific role, along with some behavior questions. Then, a second round involved a virtual interview with one hiring manager and one coordinator, which also included behavior questions. The whole thing took about half an hour.
- What do you know about our company?
- How do you interact with people who have different personalities?
- How do you handle doing multiple tasks at once?
Corporate Sustainability Specialist
So the first step was a phone screening with HR, where they just went over my personal details, availability, salary expectations, and education. Then they asked some questions, mostly behavioral ones, but there was also one technical question. After that, they checked my availability for the next interview. The second round was an online interview with the manager, who also checked my information and then interviewed me.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What do you know about our company, Celestica?
- What qualities make you an excellent candidate?
Intern
It started with a screening, and then a panel interview with business partners and executives. It was straightforward, but you need to be ready to talk about your experiences and answer scenario based questions. The only thing that could have been better was their communication. They didn't stick to the timeline they told candidates and didn't update candidates on their status in a reasonable amount of time, even though they say they are on top of communication. This made several candidates wait for months without hearing back.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a conflict?
Signal Integrity Engineer
After interviewing with Celestica, I quickly realized this is a company I do not want to work for. Interviewers did not introduce themselves, provide background about the company, and felt very awkward to interact with. Entire interview was technical in nature with most of the questions were pertaining to theory (very few questions about previous work experience, projects, or skills learned at other jobs, and no behavioral or problem solving questions).
- Could you tell me about TDR?
- What simulation parameters are you familiar with?
