First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Celestica.
Engineering Co-Op
The interview process was super easy, especially if you did your homework and fully grasped the job description. The questions weren't anything too crazy, and overall, it was a pretty smooth interview. Just really make sure you know what you're actually applying for.
- Could you define program or project management?
Engineer
It was a normal interview with technical questions related to the job and design experience. They asked mechanical engineering related questions. The interviewer explained the nature of the job and the expectations. If you have sufficient experience and knowledge the interview should be easy. The second round of interviews was more to HR.
- Tell me about your previous experiences.
- What are your future plans?
- Can you discuss a specific topic related to mechanical engineering?
Engineer
So I had a phone interview which was the first step, and it was totally unexpected. The interviewer called me out of the blue and started asking questions. I was confused at first and then realized it was a phone interview for a position. Honestly, I didn't even know which position it was because I had applied to so many on the website and wasn't prepared to answer questions about it. It wasn't scheduled, but I was called in for an in-person interview which is the next step.
- What is your understanding of Celestica?
- What are your motivations for seeking this role?
- Can you elaborate on your coding proficiency?
