I had one phone screening and then a Teams interview with the manager, department head, and a previous intern. It was all very friendly and nice, and I really enjoyed talking with everyone. They were supportive if you knew some things about the job, and the department seems like a good place to be.

The process was smooth and fast, they really made an effort for me. I felt bad declining the offer after accepting it. But the company needs to offer the best package to attract talent. They have a policy of 1-year contracts, no benefits, and no job security. Some people I spoke to on LinkedIn said only a few got permanent roles, while others were not extended or asked to leave after their contract depending on the client's business. I got a permanent job offer elsewhere with a good salary and benefits, so I had to decline. I regret not working for Celestica, but that's how it is.

I applied and got selected through the University Coop program for a 16-month position. The first interview was with HR for about 20 minutes, mostly behavioral questions, and they asked about my Excel skills, especially Pivot Tables. The second interview was with two Senior Managers for about 40 minutes, in person. They mostly had me walk through my resume, asking about my education, work, projects, and volunteer experience. They also asked some technical questions that were specific to the projects I did in college.
