Product Manager
The interview process at Care.com was really well put together and seemed designed with a lot of thought. Each chat seemed to follow logically from the previous one, and it was clear what was expected. They asked good questions that felt relevant to actual product and marketplace problems. Talking to people from Product, Finance, and the senior leadership team gave me a good overall picture of the job and how the company works. The conversations were tough in a good way and made me feel like we were all on the same page about growing the business, building trust, and making an impact. I especially want to mention my HR contact. They were on top of things, communicated clearly, and were really helpful with scheduling and getting ready. Their help made the whole experience feel good from the start and showed how Care.com treats candidates. All in all, the interview process was great and made me even more interested in the job and the team.
- The main focus was generally focused on testing strategic thinking and specific to the role I interviewed for.
- Additional questions focused on my decision making frameworks both historically and theoretical approaches I would take if I got the role.
CRM and Lifecycle Manager
The entire interview process lasted only 5 minutes. The recruiter was late for the initial screener and asked just two questions. Honestly, the whole experience felt unprofessional and racist. It was a blessing in disguise that they showed their true colors upfront, revealing their lack of decorum and bigotry. I understand the current job market favors employers, but that doesn't excuse such cold and unprofessional treatment. This company takes the cake for being the least professional and most racist.
- Can you introduce yourself and walk me through your resume?
Software Engineer
I saw the Senior Software Engineer role on LinkedIn and applied through the website. About a week later, Shane the recruiter reached out via email to set up an initial phone call. This first chat was pretty casual, covering my background and what I'm looking for. Shane also gave me a good rundown of the company and the job. The whole interview process has three stages and was wrapped up in under 10 days. First up was a behavioral chat with the Engineering Manager. We talked about my past work, why I want to work at Care.com, and how I fit with their values. Then came a system design interview with two senior engineers, which lasted about 90 minutes. They really dug into my decisions with follow-up questions at every step, which felt like they were testing my problem-solving skills and how I build solutions. It was a really collaborative session. The last interview was with a Director and felt more like a relaxed conversation. We discussed my views on technology, AI, and some behavioral stuff. It seemed like they were more interested in my thought process than getting specific answers. All through the interviews, the vibe was really casual and natural. Everyone seemed genuinely keen to understand why I wanted to join Care.com and if my thinking matched their needs. All the team members were open, helpful, and supportive. Big thanks to Shane for making everything run so smoothly; he kept me updated and made the process really clear.

Office Manager
My interview experience was great from start to finish. It was fast, effective, friendly, and genuine! I really liked every part of it. I had four interviews in total, talking to the Head of Talent Acquisition, the current Office Manager, the Director of Workplace, and the CHRO. Every talk felt real and friendly, with clear expectations and a swap of goals and ideas. After each interview, they either talked about the next steps and timelines before finishing or sent them soon after, keeping it clear and smooth. They didn't ask the usual, boring interview questions. Instead, we talked about my past experiences, the job duties, and how they matched. The chats were natural and super interesting. All in all, it was a fantastic experience!
- When you were a people manager and encountered issues affecting your team, how did you handle it?
