Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process at Care.com was really well put together and seemed designed with a lot of thought. Each chat seemed to follow logically from the previous one, and it was clear what was expected. They asked good questions that felt relevant to actual product and marketplace problems. Talking to people from Product, Finance, and the senior leadership team gave me a good overall picture of the job and how the company works. The conversations were tough in a good way and made me feel like we were all on the same page about growing the business, building trust, and making an impact. I especially want to mention my HR contact. They were on top of things, communicated clearly, and were really helpful with scheduling and getting ready. Their help made the whole experience feel good from the start and showed how Care.com treats candidates. All in all, the interview process was great and made me even more interested in the job and the team.

Started with a great LinkedIn message from Shane that was super relevant to my background and a new project at Care.com. We talked about the role and the company, then he connected me with the hiring manager for a 45-min call. After that, I met with the analytics, design, and engineering teams. The team seemed awesome and the work sounds interesting. The whole thing took about a week and a half, which is pretty fast. The recruiter was really on top of things, way better than other places where you wait ages for replies. He even gave me his cell. It was kinda tough, but I did get an offer. Ended up taking another job though because their salary and equity were better.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty standard. It started with a recruiter screen. The recruiter mentioned my compensation expectations were a bit high but encouraged me to proceed. Then I had interviews with a PM on the team, some stakeholders, and finally the hiring manager. The recruiter was communicative and efficient throughout the scheduling. However, after the hiring manager interview, which I felt went well, I was completely ghosted. No response at all via any channel. It was unprofessional, especially given how responsive they were during scheduling. I wouldn't recommend this company or recruiter.
