First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cameo.
React Native Developer
It was a super positive experience. First, I had an HR meeting, then there were 3 meetings in a row with the technical team, and finally, one more interview with the CEO. Everyone was super friendly and transparent.

Software Engineer
My interview experience with Cameo was fantastic from beginning to end. The recruiter, Mara, was super responsive and helpful, making sure I was ready for each stage. After the initial recruiter call, I had a technical screen that was engaging and conversational. It was a great chance to talk about my technical background and past projects. Then came the on-site interviews, which they kindly let me spread out over a few days. I really enjoyed chatting with everyone about the team and the product. They asked me technical questions, and I liked that it felt like a real conversation rather than a rapid-fire quiz; I felt like I connected with each person. The last step was meeting the CEO, which was a cool opportunity to hear his vision for the company and ask any lingering questions. I was happy to get an offer and I'm excited to join this fun, smart team working on a really cool product!
- Can you discuss projects you've worked on in the past?
- Let's talk about your experience with software architecture.
- Are there any specific technical domain questions you can answer?
Sales Account Executive
The first interview is chill. You'll probably meet with a hiring manager and an HR person a few times. If you pass that, you might get a mock 'project' related to your job here. They say to spend 1-2 hours on it and have fun, but if you only do that, you'll probably be unprepared for the next part. You need to know the product well enough to create a concept/materials and an outreach plan, and then pitch their product back to them, asking follow-up questions. After that presentation, you'll get live feedback on your sales pitch. The team was nice, and the process is pretty easy. HR sent a generic email with feedback at the end, but then ghosted me when I tried to schedule that follow-up.
- What makes Cameo stand out compared to other talent platforms or agencies?
Partnerships Manager
I applied online and got a quick response, which seemed promising. But honestly, the whole interview process and how they communicated was super unprofessional and left a bad impression. They scheduled the interview for a time I specifically said I couldn't do, and then the interviewer was super late to our video call, like over 20 minutes late. Plus, they were texting me updates during this whole time. When we finally started, they really pushed me to talk about my celebrity contacts and relationships, which felt really weird and uncomfortable. They totally disrespected my time as a candidate.
- Do you have any personal connections with musicians?
