Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cameo.
Talent Acquisition Specialist
Applied online and then got an email to set up a phone interview 3 days later. The first call was a screening from HR and the second was a 30 minute call with a Manager. Neither call was over video. The scheduling was a bit messy and I had to follow up to make sure the call was set because I never got a calendar invite or call details. The second call I had was also rescheduled 15 minutes before it was supposed to start. This wasn't an issue for me as I know everyone's busy but I can see the messiness bothering other people.
- Do you have any contacts in the talent pool that could be brought onto Cameo?
- Can you tell me about your background and why you think you'd be a good fit for this role?
- Have you previously managed a roster of talent, and if so, how did you handle prioritizing communication and tasks with them?
Talent Acquisition Manager
The interview process was super fast, like a week total. The COO hit me up on LinkedIn and we had a phone screen the next day, which was awesome and made me really excited about Cameo! Then I went to the office for an onsite the very next afternoon. It was a long day because I met with so many people, which I actually liked. The COO greeted me when I arrived and everyone was ready to go right away. The questions were tough but fun, and I could tell they really wanted to see how I think and if I could be creative. The CEO called me the day after that, which was cool because he asked some great questions. I got an offer the following day. Everything was really organized and went smoothly, a great experience overall.
- What motivates you? What books are you reading and what new skills are you learning?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
We had 2 initial interviews and then a final round that was 3 hours long. This final round had multiple 30 minute sessions with different people on the team. For the final round, we had to do a case study which included a presentation and writing mock emails to show off our communication skills.
