Software Engineer
The interview process was smooth and well-organized. It started with an online coding assessment focusing on basic algorithms and problem-solving. Afterwards, I had two technical interviews covering JavaScript, APIs, and database queries, followed by a short HR discussion about culture fit and career goals. The team was friendly, and communication was clear throughout. Overall, it was a positive experience.
- Can you talk about a project where you made the codebase perform better or be easier to maintain?
Full Stack Developer Intern
It was a good mix of checking my soft skills and tech knowledge. They started by asking about my background and how I like to communicate, like if I'm good with English or French. Then, some practical questions about my experience with full-stack stuff like React, Node, SQL, and TypeScript, and what I'd do on projects that don't have a clear plan. They asked me to explain OOP concepts like class vs object, inheritance, and polymorphism. Also some React basics like props vs state. On the behavioral side, they wanted to know how I handle crazy deadlines, team stuff, and fights. There was this scenario about a project needing 400 hours of work but only having 3 weeks, and how I'd tell my lead and the team. Leadership style and working with old code also came up, with examples from my past. Finally, they asked what I like in a workplace culture, what I don't like, and how I juggle quality, cost, and time. I got to ask my questions at the end.
- Can you share some details about your background and past experiences? Are you comfortable communicating in English or French? Which language do you prefer?
- What technologies have you utilized in your full-stack development projects, such as React, Node, SQL, and TypeScript?
- Based on the job description, what kind of work do you anticipate doing in this role?
Sales Representative
The interview process seemed pretty simple. A recruiter contacted me after I applied. First, I had a video call with her. Then, I had a video interview with the Director of Sales. After that, I had another video call, this time with two female Sales Leads. Everything seemed to go okay. But the recruiter ghosted me after I kept asking for an update. It feels like a waste of time to interview someone three times and then not even send a rejection email.
- Did you have previous aviation experience?
Aircraft System Software Specialist
Got an email from HR about an interview in two days, and I said yes. The interview was on Teams, lasted about 45 minutes, and there were two recruiters. It was super chill, respectful, and they seemed really into it. We ended up talking for 50 minutes total. No stress at all, the vibe was very laid-back, and the recruiters were really good about making sure I didn't feel tense. They asked me some situational and technical questions. The technical stuff wasn't too hard, and it felt like they cared more about the person than just the skills (at least from my experience).
- Can you share some insights on situational questions?
- Are you able to tackle these technical questions?
