So, I went through this whole interview thing that took like 4 months. It kicked off with a phone chat, and the recruiter was pretty cool. They sent me some info about what to expect and how to use the STAR method, which I totally used. I thought I was done after this virtual meeting, which I figured was the last one, but nope. A whole month later, they hit me up for this panel interview. It was a group of four people grilling me with technical and behavioral stuff. They said they'd get back to me super fast with a decision, but that was 3 weeks ago. Now the recruiter's gone quiet, and I feel like I've been ghosted. It's a bummer after all the time I put into prepping and going through all these interviews.

They seem like timewasters, or maybe they don't update their recruitment adverts. They keep reposting this role, and I've even been headhunted for it. But when I apply, I get a quick, generic rejection, which suggests nobody actually reviewed my application. I perfectly meet the job requirements, both in qualifications and experience. So, there's something unprofessional on their end – possibly bias, or they just haven't updated their adverts to show they're no longer accepting applications.

The HR round felt pretty relaxed and friendly, more like a chat. We started with introductions, and then they asked me about my resume stuff, like my education, past jobs, and what I'd accomplished. They also wanted to know my strengths, weaknesses, and what I see myself doing career-wise down the road. There were some questions about how I'd handle certain situations to see how I problem-solve and work with others. The whole vibe was chill and supportive, which made it easy to talk about things. It wasn't like a super formal interview, more like a good conversation.

I applied for the Accountant job at BSI and got a virtual interview quickly, which was good. But, the interview itself was a bit disappointing. I found out the interviewers were new, only there for a few weeks, even though HR said they were department heads. One interviewer said she was a consultant, not a head. HR's mixed messages were confusing. After a week, I heard back that I didn't get the job, but they didn't give any feedback. So, while the interview scheduling was fast, the confusing info about the interviewers and lack of feedback was not great.
