Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BSI.
Business Development Manager
I had a good interview experience. It involved 4 rounds. The first round was an aptitude test. The remaining rounds were with senior management. The interview process went smoothly and they were responsive with feedback. I received a positive response within a month.
- Can you share your past experiences and explain how they would be beneficial for our company?
Business Development Lead
First, there was an HR phone interview, which took about 20 minutes. Then, I had to give a presentation about my 30-60-90 days plan, covering sales and team development. The final interview was with the managing director to see how well I'd fit with the team and check my soft skills.
- Tell me about your soft skills and approach to teamwork.
Business Development Manager
The interview process was not structured, with the interviewer focusing more on general conversation than job-specific topics. There was a noticeable lack of subject matter expertise regarding the company and its products, and an inability to assess candidate strengths. The environment felt like an insurance sales operation, with limited growth prospects. Senior management appeared to leverage junior staff's work while enjoying their salaries and exhibiting ego. The management's approach lacked professionalism, and the office setting seemed outdated, contributing to a dull atmosphere among employees. This likely explains the company's high attrition rate and difficulty attracting qualified candidates.
- No relevant job questions were asked. I would not recommend this company.
