I wanted to share my experience with how this company recruits. It was pretty bad and not professional. I get that I might not have been the perfect fit, but the way they told me was rude and made me feel bad. Instead of useful feedback, they made me feel small about my current job level and experience. They even said I was only good for "machine dirty work," which was disrespectful and uncalled for. Recruiting should be a two-way street with respect. This felt more like they wanted to put me down than see if I was a good fit.

We'll generate some likely interview questions for you based on the job description. For example, if it says you need to be organized and detail-oriented, prepare for a question like, “Tell me about a time you had to be highly organized and detail-oriented.” Make sure to write out and even record yourself answering these questions, as knowing your experience isn't the same as explaining it. Use the interview rubric to see how you're doing. If you need any accommodations for visual, hearing, or mobility issues, let your coordinator know. You can discuss accommodations further after receiving an offer. Be prepared to cover your own travel costs unless you're told otherwise; if not, just ask the interviewer if they cover travel.

The hiring process felt pretty smooth and organized. It was 5 rounds total: 3 tech interviews, 1 manager chat, and then HR. They wrapped it all up in just 10 days, which was super fast. HR was awesome, they kept me in the loop the whole time. But yeah, after getting picked, things went downhill. They said the offer would come next week, then nothing. After a bit, they told me there was a hiring freeze and I'd have to wait. I waited 3 months, and then got an email saying the job I was hired for doesn't exist anymore. That whole wait and then the job disappearing was really frustrating and a bummer.

The interview process included five rounds. It started with an online assessment which was easy. Then, there was a group discussion on urban living vs rural living. Following that, an essay writing round was conducted. Round 4 was a technical interview where they asked about computer networks, processors, and Python code to reverse a string. They also asked why I think I qualify for the role, more about processors, and if I had any projects on Data centers. The final round was a management round where they asked why I want to work at Vmware, if I'm okay with rotational shifts, and if I can relocate to Bangalore.
