Human Resources
The interview process at Billtrust was great! A recruiter got back to me quickly, and we had a 30-minute introductory chat that was pretty high-level. After that, I spoke with another team member and a senior leader. Both meetings were really nice, and they asked me behavioral questions about my past experiences. They moved fast to give me a verbal offer, and then a written one. It was a really smooth and quick process overall.

Sales
Worst interview process I ever had. The recruiter and first interview with the manager were good. Expectations were set on salary, timelines, requirements for the role, what they were looking for, etc. Next was a panel interview/presentation with two VPs and the manager, then a final interview with the CRO. I was told I had 2 strong yes and 2 yes. A week later I was then told they hired a new SVP and I will need to do an interview with them. The SVP showed up late, told me he was in back to back meetings all week, and then grilled me with questions that had nothing to do with the job. He had an unprofessional attitude, sighed a lot, and I had to repeat myself multiple times because he wasn't listening to my answers. He then said I wouldn't be a fit for what he was trying to build when he had just joined the company VERY recently. I then had to wait another week until I got a response that they were moving forward with someone else. When I asked for feedback, they said they felt I could not prospect when I had gotten the exact opposite feedback from all the other VPs, CRO, and my manager. Every sales manager, VP, CRO, and many others have been in their roles for less than 6 months and do not have experience in this industry. Do not leave your job for this company they have multiple leaders all trying to do their own thing. Trust the reviews you read on this site.

Sales Manager
It was a long interview process. I first spoke with the recruiter, then the hiring manager, and then they checked my references. After that, I met with other team members, including a group interview, the CRO, and another VP. There were about seven interviews in total. They ended up going with someone else whose background was a better fit for what they needed. I still like the company, but I was a bit bummed about how long it took and that they didn't ask more follow-up questions to help me show how I could fit in and make an impact. Since we talked so much and the recruiter asked about salary and when I could start, I thought an offer was coming. It was a good experience overall, but I wish they'd figured out the fit issue earlier. They did mention checking references, which I guess is a part of the background check.

Revenue Operations Director
The interview process was lengthy and the HR communication was subpar. I had to follow up after each round. It started with a screen interview, followed by a Hiring Manager interview, then a presentation (8-10 slides), then team interviews, then an HR leader interview, and finally a CFO interview. I received positive feedback throughout all the interviews, but then they ghosted me. I followed up, and after 6-7 rounds, they gave me very subpar feedback. If you require a presentation and put candidates through so many rounds, it's basic courtesy to follow up and provide reasonable feedback when asked. I was told they decided to go with no one and would continue searching. This speaks volumes about the incompetency of the leaders there who can't make up their minds after weeks of interviewing candidates. Good escape!
