First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Baringa Partners.
Power Market Analyst
I was reached out by a team member for a referral due to my background with developer and PLEXOS. We had a virtual screening with HR, and some online tests with ratings. Then, I had a face-to-face meeting with the hiring manager about my project experience and technical skills. Next, a virtual panel interview with team members that included a case interview and background questions. I'm expecting a fourth round with partners for a culture fit check if I pass the third round.

Energy Analyst
I went through an assessment centre which included a CV interview, a case study interview, and a group exercise. The CV interview was quite straightforward, but the case study interview proved to be very challenging. The group exercise went smoothly. The HR consultant and the consultants at the company were really friendly and energetic.
- What are your hobbies?
- Could you explain your decision to pursue consulting instead of research?
Senior Consultant
The process was multi-stage. It began with a recruiter call, followed by an evaluation test, then an interview with the hiring manager, and concluded with a longer case study. It was a pretty standard process, but the actual job duties were different than what was advertised in the posting.
- Can you describe how you usually organize a project?
Director
The interview process included meetings with various partners and directors. Afterwards, I went through a business case exercise that I received guidance on. The final step was presenting my case to a panel consisting of partners and directors. The case itself was pretty typical, focusing on strategy, financial aspects, and the business I envisioned building.
- Could you describe your leadership style and how it aligns with the firm's culture?
