First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Baringa Partners.
Business Consultant
The interview process spanned about two weeks and was quite disorganized. Initially, I spoke with a team member in Sofia who provided incorrect salary range information, which was much higher than the eventual offer. Next, I participated in an assessment center that was scheduled for two hours but ran for 3.5 hours due to poor planning and technical glitches on Baringa's end. A few days later, I was told I'd proceed to the final interview stage. The manager called me directly to schedule this. After our interview, an HR representative contacted me again to arrange the exact same interview I had already completed, highlighting Baringa's inefficient internal communication. A few days after that, HR in the UK called to extend an offer. The employment contract documents were emailed a day late. The salary in the offer differed significantly from our initial discussions, as did other conditions like remote work. Some contract clauses were unclear, prompting me to seek clarification via email, but I've received no response in over two weeks. The offer has since expired, and I did not accept. The overall interview experience was highly unprofessional, and not receiving a response after an offer was extended is unprecedented. I found the entire process with Baringa to be a waste of time.

Management Consultant
Had three interviews. The first one was with a Director and we chatted about my CV, my background, and why I'm interested in Baringa. Then, I had a case study interview which was followed by a discussion with two Directors about how I analyzed the case. This part was tough but I enjoyed it. There was a lot of info to go through, analyze, and prepare answers for. The last interviews were two sessions with Partners. These were great and interesting for understanding the business and where I might fit in.
- In what ways can you contribute to Baringa?
Consulting Intern
after filling out a form online, there was a pretty standard assessment center. it included group activities, an individual chat with HR, and a quick case study where they mainly looked at how well you solve problems and do basic math.
