People Services Graduate Programme
I did an online application and sent my CV. Then I had to do an online assessment from AON, it had numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning and a questionnaire. About 4 weeks later, HR called me to invite me to the final assessment stage. This stage had an individual interview, a one-on-one with a staff member, which was really nice and made me feel calm. Then there was an individual assessment which was a timed task where you had to ask critical questions related to a case and make deductions. Lastly, there was a group assessment, similar to the individual one but you had to work in a team to reach a goal while promoting your role.
- Can you share instances where you've successfully built, developed, and maintained strong customer relationships?
- Provide an example of collaborating closely with colleagues from different departments to achieve a shared objective.
- Describe a situation where you used insights from previous experiences to create a solution for a current challenge.
Graduate Student
it was a long interview that took about 5 hours on the interview day there were 12 other candidates there we had 3 rounds of interviews in the one day a competencies based interview then a group interview where you are in a group and you are given a role and you need to debate the other candidates for a share of a budget then a practical interview where you are given a task of a case study and then you need to say your case to agree with the case study or against the case study
- questions were based on their competencies
Data Engineer
The interview started with what they called an informal, non-technical chat about project fit. But it actually turned into a deep technical discussion. They asked a lot about my past projects, the specific tools and tech I've used, and gave me some scenarios. Even though they said it wasn't technical, the questions were definitely technical. I didn't move on because of this round. If I had, the next step would have been a live PySpark session where I'd have to download APIs, do practical tasks, and show my screen while coding.
- Walk me through your typical process for cleaning and transforming data in Databricks, and what PySpark functions do you find most useful for this?
- Can you describe the PySpark functions and methods you commonly employ for data transformation tasks?
Program Manager
I had a terrible and unprofessional interview experience with BoI for a Programme Manager role. Two people joined my interview, the HR Recruiter and the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager was very indifferent and inattentive, and the HR Recruiter talked more. It seemed like the Hiring Manager already had someone in mind and didn't listen to me. The HR Recruiter asked many irrelevant questions, like if I was interested in PMO management even though I applied for Programme Manager. She also picked random bullet points and asked bizarre questions. It was a very unprofessional and weird experience. Please don't waste people's time if you're not serious about interviewing. Respect candidates and at least look at their CVs to ask relevant questions.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
- Would you consider a role in PMO management?
