First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bank of Ireland.
Data Analyst
After applying online, I got an interview invite. I had a virtual interview where they asked questions about company competencies and some technical stuff. It's good to have examples ready for the competencies and know a bit about the company beforehand.
- Can you explain the purpose of a database alias?
Data Analyst
Had a screening round first, then a technical interview that covered Python for data wrangling, data warehousing, basic SQL questions like joins and functions, some T-SQL questions, and Tableau dashboard stuff. Also talked about past experience and what to expect based on the competency model.
- Questions about SQL and competency-based questions.
Data Modeler
I applied for the job about a month ago and then got a call to set up the interview. It was an onsite interview with two managers. They asked only behavioural questions, no technical ones.
- All the questions asked were behavioural.
